Computer Help was established in December 1991 by Paul Walker. At this time, margins for computer resellers were falling rapidly and computers were becoming a commodity item. This forced many resellers into the business of "moving boxes" instead of providing service. This was unfortunate as many people were buying their first PC. Buying a "box" without being able to rely on the retailer for support was always going to be troublesome. At the same time, there were many people that could use their PCs but came unstuck when something actually went wrong. These two problems lead Paul to the idea of creating a business that would specialise in supporting these people. Paul considered many names, but, in the end, the business was born as Computer Help because the name had to simply reflect the nature of the services and be easily remembered.

Today, there are many companies providing assistance with PC related issues. Some of these companies charge in the range of $75 to $150 per hour. Computer Help's current charge rate is only $60 per hour! We have always priced our services so that they are affordable by small business and domestic users alike.

Paul first started using computers in December 1982 as a teenager. He then found some commercial experience in 1985 as a work experience student. This then became his career in 1988. Since that time, Paul has amassed 25 years of computer experience in many areas. These areas are reflected in services offered on the menu. Click on these services to see how Computer Help can help you.

Currently, Paul is employed full-time in a management role for a software company in Osborne Park. This limits the services of Computer Help to evenings and weekends. This can be an advantage for busy small business owners and domestic users that don't have time to worry about their computers during office hours.
